AI interpretation

Interpretation is an optional layer after metrics exist. Every output cites computed values from completed runs — the LLM does not invent numbers.

Prerequisites

  • Completed graph metrics, NBS, cohort metrics, or microstate pipeline run
  • AI interpretation enabled for your workspace (ask your administrator if the Interpret button isn't available)

Graph metrics mode

Plain-language summary of network topology from a single connectivity matrix analysis.

Available for: completed graph_metrics runs on a dataset.

Where to launch: dataset workspace → Interpret panel.

NBS mode

Summary of significant connected components from group-level edge comparison.

Available for: completed cohort_nbs runs on a study.

Where to launch: cohort analysis page → Interpret panel.

Cohort metrics mode

Group-level comparison narrative citing global graph metric differences.

Available for: completed cohort_metrics runs.

Where to launch: cohort analysis page → Interpret panel.

Microstates mode

Interpretation of EEG microstate coverage, duration, occurrence, and transition patterns.

Available for: completed microstates runs on EEG datasets.

Where to launch: dataset workspace → Interpret panel.

Guardrails

Every interpretation artifact includes:

  • Research / non-clinical disclaimer
  • Metric citation validation (numbers must match run artifacts)
  • Cautious language — hypotheses, not diagnoses

Copy text or export JSON from the interpret panel.

What interpretation does not do

  • Diagnose neurological or psychiatric conditions
  • Replace expert review of preprocessing quality
  • Compute new metrics — it explains metrics already in artifacts
