History
The History section is the audit trail for a Computational Biology study. Use it to review what ran, what parameters were used, which results are current, and which runs belong to a saved study state.
Run history
Every analysis job creates a run record. The history table lists active, completed, failed, and stale runs for the study.
Expand a run to review:
- Pipeline type and status
- Input dataset
- Parameters
- Timing
- Result summary
- Error details when a run fails
Snapshots
Create a snapshot to record which completed runs and parameters represent a frozen study state. Restoring a snapshot opens Analyze with those parameters for re-execution or comparison.
Snapshots store fingerprints of metadata, design, and contrasts. If the study changes, Analyze warns that the snapshot may be out of sync.
Stale outputs
When metadata, contrasts, or upstream runs change, downstream results are flagged stale. Each stale item links to the analysis step that should be re-run.
Delete runs
You can delete completed or failed runs unless:
- The run is still running
- A snapshot references the run
Deleting a study from the dashboard removes all associated runs, snapshots, datasets, and uploaded files.
